====== mEPS MK8 ======
The mEPS MK8 is a proposed successor to the current mEPS MK5. The stated aim for the mEPS MK8 program is to bring over the improvements the mEPS MK7-MAC created such as the external protective panels and improved power characteristics.\\

The proposed variants of the mEPS MK8 are the MK8-ER (Emergency Response), MK8-ID(InDustrial) and the MK8-SI (ScIentific)\\

The MK8-ID would include partial ridged plating to protect workers from industrial hazards that the soft body lining of the MK5 can not provide such as crush risks or extra sharp cutting equipment.\\

The MK8-SI would include several of the additional sensors found in the MK7 such as air quality and radiation detectors as well as feature more robust filtering systems for those who work with highly volatile or contagious substances.\\

All MK8 units would also include upgraded radios to take advantage of newly allotted radio spectrums for use in their respective fields.\\

Currently, the mEPS MK8 program is undergoing its final rounds of approval and is expected to be commenced in late 2757 MCT.
